This app provides summary data from weather stations located in Yavapai County Arizona via the ALERT Flood Control System. The data is created from ALERT Flood Control System database and summarized for several specific locations.
Weather data including temperature and rainfall is collected by a series of sensors placed through the Yavapai County Flood District. Information is presented for each of the sensors located throughout Yavapai County, Arizona. Each of the sensors may have various readings such as temperature and rainfall. Plots for each of these sensors is given for current data for the past 24 hours. An icon is placed next to the sensor name to indicate which readings are available. Several of the sensors have data collected for past historical information. For these sensors, extra options are available to give summarized graphs for prior periods. Sensors that have extra historical data available are listed first with a grey background.
If a sensor is not sending data at the time of the request, an error message will be displayed and a different choice should be made. Since data is gathered from remote instrumentation, errors may be present in the data. Abnormal plots may result if a sensor sends a data value that is unrealistic for the information requested.
An active internet connection must be established before any information can be displayed. If the internet connection is terminated during execution of the app an error message will be displayed. Several of the plots require more time to retrieve the data or may experience difficulty with reaching the data servers in a timely manner. If the plot results seem to be not forthcoming, double tapping the plot screen will return to the data options.
